Our office is receiving lots of calls from all over Brisbane from home owners that have found Flying Termites ( Alates or winged reproductives ) inside or around their homes.
It’s common for Flying Termites to make their way into homes under screens or around downlights and through extraction fans and the like, and many of our callers have found the insects, sometimes without their wings near these areas. These guys are harmless and can’t set up a colony in your home.
But the question is: Were they released from inside your home, or have they just found their way into your home? It could mean that Termites may already be in your home, so if you haven’t had a Termite Inspection recently, now is probably a great time.
